Yo Majesty and Rosetta Stoned Tour - Sun - DC 9

This is Chris. Sunday night we were in my hometown of Washington DC, playing at DC 9. The bands on the line up were Rosetta Stoned, Yo Majesty, and Innerpartysystem.

It felt good to be home, check out the flicks...the crowd was awesome.

Saturday night was a show at Southpaw in Brooklyn. By the way...Brooklyn is the planet. I am tired of all these city folk that act like they can never leave Manhattan...come to my part of town...you will have fun.

Back to the point...By the time of the show, I had not slept in 36 hours. Friday night we stayed out until 6:30 in the morning and by the time I got home it was time to get ready for work. I had to be in the Bronx for an anti-obesity program put together for the middle school that I work with up on 145th and 3rd ave. After a day of running around with 12 year olds, I went to my girlfriend's house, changed and got ready to go to dinner with her family. After dinner and a couple of martinis, it was off to the show.

Southpaw was a dope venue and the crowd, although smaller than Highline, was more into the show. Here are some of the flicks. I got there kind of late, and being delirious from sleep deprivation, I did not shoot much....but here you go.

Friday night was the first show of the Yo Majesty and Rosetta Stoned tour...it took place at Highline Ballroom and was packed to capacity. If you don't know about Yo Majesty...then you ucked up - you better learn about them.

After the show, we went over to Aja for the afterparty and for some drinks...the madness that ensued was awesome...always expect the unexpected.
The picture below is of Sum Young Thug and her Caucasian rap partner (who is actually a writer for BUST magazine). These girls were off the hook!!! They came with us to the afterparty and began to "rap our faces off." Their rhymes included such classic lines as, "Indians like Samosa".... and "I don't know what a rooffie looks like but I know what it tastes like"... as well as "my pussy tastes like laffy taffy, try it!!"

Don't battle these chicks, you will lose
